Gran tells of terror at moment mystery big cat crossed her path.

The mysterious beast of Buchan is believed to be on the prowl near Fraserburgh after three sightings at the weekend.
The big cat, said to roam the woods of Aberdeenshire, and Banffshire, was first spotted by Fiona Clark, 60, as she walked to her car at 9pm on Friday.
The gran-of-three said she and her friend were stopped in their tracks by a “very strange smell” and they looked up to see the beast walking along a stone dyke.
She said: “I couldn’t believe what I saw. My feet were stuck to the ground. It was huge, it was very, very big.
“It was a very quiet night and darkness was in the offing, but it was jet black and it was plain to see. It had a lot of strength in its front feet and down its chest, and a very strong head, wide at the top. It was so distinctive.”
Fiona, of Stonehaven, who claimed she followed the animal but lost sight of it as darkness fell, said it looked “well fed”. She said: “I wouldn’t want to get too close to it. I’m lucky it wasn’t hungry.”
She added: “It’s important that farmers know that this is going about. They will have to be extra vigilant to protect their livestock.”
Fiona’s daughter Lynne claims she also saw the creature near the old Kirkyard at Tyrie on Sunday. It was alledgedly seen at Peathill on Saturday.
The last reported sighting came in January, 2007, when a policeman claimed he spotted the animal in woods off the A944 in Aberdeenshire.
No-one has been able to find out if the creature really exists, but investigators believe they could soon have proof thanks to last weekends reports.
Mark Fraser, of Big Cats in Britain, called on local landowners to offer a site for a motion-sensitive webcam. He said: “If we can get a secure location in the right place, we’ll come up there.”
He said the beast is likely to be a black leopard or jaguar.
He claimed a big cat would thrive in the North-East and said; “It could survive on two rabbit’s a day and with all that deer, there is lots of food.”
