Shock Spider find in Burgess Hill
SURPRISED Paul Watson had unexpected company when he popped into the kitchen to make an early morning cup of tea.
Emerging from the kitchen clock at his home in Fairfield Road, Burgess Hill, was a deadly-looking spider.
Checking the internet led Mr Watson to believe the spider was a false black widow spider.
Mr Watson said: "These spiders have an unpleasant bite apparently. It was about two o'clock in the morning and went into the kitchen to put the kettle on and I saw this spider. There was a female with it, much smaller."
