Snake Attack in Wales
A tourist has been attacked by a snake whilst walking along a cliff path at Caswell Bay, Gower, in south-west Wales.
The unnamed 31 year old man is believed to have been bitten three times by a venomous adder and needed to be airlifted to hospital.
A spokesman for Swansea Coastguard told the Independent: "We had a report of a gentleman bitten three times by a possible adder.
"We tasked Mumbles Coastguard Rescue Team who assisted the casualty and stabilised him and walked him out from his precarious position on a cliff path.
"They requested helicopter assistance and he was taken to Morriston Hospital, in Swansea."
The man is reported to be "weak, but conscious and breathing".
