Rotary Solves the Mystery
HERE we have it, as promised last week, the first picture of the Kenthurst cat.
This one was shot (or should we say snapped) aboard the Kenthurst Rotary float surrounded by bags of horse manure during the recent Orange Blossom Festival street parade.
While we are the last people to doubt the existence of an unusually large cat-like creature in the bush at Kenthurst we had to laugh at the eye-catching humour behind the Kenthurst Rotary Club's float.
On a serious note, though, we are always keen to hear of sightings of the elusive cat.
The Times has had the Kenthurst cat on its radar since it first broke a story about the panther-like creature in 2003.
There have been numerous sightings of a ``big cat'' in the bush around Kenthurst and Dural ever since.
If you have seen a panther (other than one on a float) let us know by sending an email to editor@hillsshiretimes.com.au
