Giant 'Paw' Print Headed for Museum Microscope

Giant 'Paw' Print Headed for Museum Microscope
Colin Rossow will take a plaster cast of what he believes is a cat’s giant paw print to experts at the Brisbane Museum next week.
The Glenwood resident, who has no doubt black, panther size cats are stalking his community by night, says he already knows what the experts will find from examining the cast.
“I’m confident the footprint was made by a cat. I’ve known for a long time that they’ve been around,” he said.
Mr Rossow made the cast early last week after finding the print in mud on his property.
Since appearing in the Chronicle’s affiliate newspaper, Gympie Times, his humble home has been inundated with reporters from media outlets across Queensland.
“I would not have a clue how many reporters have been here – I’m still getting calls,” he said.
“I’ve actually got a man from Townsville arriving tomorrow. It’s been a busy week.”
Mr Rossow said the intense media attention did not bother him although he had experienced some negative feedback.
“What’s annoying is the city folk who have probably never crossed the city boundaries refusing to believe it.”
